Name: Economic Development Committee
Date: July 8, 2016
Time: 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM PDT
Event Description:
The July 8 Economic Development Committee will feature a presentation with updated information on the Main - McVay Transit Study. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the most promising transit options for the Main Street – McVay Highway Corridor as potential solutions to address growing concerns about safety, congestion, and quality of life. The Main Street business community has started to engage in the project. Concerns have been raised regarding potential impacts on local businesses. If a project were to move forward, what would the potential impacts to local businesses be? Would a project improve the regional transportation system and in so doing result in business creation along the line (transit oriented development)? Will a new transit line reduce congestion and improve safety?

Come to the July 8 meeting and get the latest update on the Main - McVay Transit study!
