The long term economic development of our region is linked to land use planning. The City of Springfield is engaged in long term planning regarding our urban growth boundary. This plan is specifically intended to address adding land to the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) for Employment, Natural Resources, Public Facilities, Parks and Open Space. Linda Pauly, Principal Planner for the City of Springfield presented the plan to the city council on June 27, 2016, in preparation for council action this fall. Linda will be our featured speaker at the Economic Development Committee on August 12, noon at Roaring Rapids.
