Associated Oregon Industries Vice President & Counsel Betsy Earls will be the featured guest at the June 10th meeting of the Government Issues Committee. She will be discussing AOI’s efforts with the State Legislature for the coming session as well as recapping their efforts during this years short session. Betsy (J.D., Willamette University; B.A., University of Washington) represents employers before the Oregon Legislature and regulatory agencies in the areas of health care, education policy, and retail affairs.  Before joining AOI in 2008, she worked in a private law practice, representing clients before the Oregon Legislature.  “My favorite part of my job is working with members and policymakers to find workable solutions to complex public policy problems,”

About the committee:
Open to all Chamber members, the Government Issues Committee members study pending legislation and recommend advocacy and action to impact laws and regulations on local, regional and state levels. The committee also organizes Candidates' Forums and the Springfield Leadership Workshop. The Committee Meets the second and fourth Tuesdays.  Please RSVP by email to Jeff Thompson by the Friday before the meeting.
