Update: Oregon Duck football players to sign autographs
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – This Saturday [May 17] Willamalane Center for Sports and Recreation is throwing a free fun-packed open house at 250 S. 32nd St. in Springfield. The Sizzlin’ Summer Showcase runs from noon to 4 p.m.
Come meet Oregon Duck football players and get autographs. Sign kids up for camp, learn about urban homesteading, check out roller derby, and try slacklining and tai chi.
Everyone who attends will have a chance to win a 1PASS card, good for admissions and discounts on Willamalane programs, Skate World, Timber Bowl, Eugene Emeralds games and unlimited Lane Transit District bus rides – all summer long.
The first 25 people through the door attendees receive a free wristband to attend SummerFair this July. Complete a passport to be entered into a raffle to win either a 1PASS or tickets to an upcoming Lane United soccer game.
Other activities include scaling the 33-foot-tall climbing wall, dancing in a Zumba class, a free photo booth and live music. There will opportunities to sign up for summer classes, day trips and kid camps. There will be free popcorn for everyone visiting Two50 youth center.
Also on tap are question-and-answer sessions with personal trainers, information about swimming lessons and water exercise, martial arts demonstrations, a preschool open house, and a big truck expo featuring parks equipment.
In addition, there will be tennis, roller derby and pole vaulting demonstrations, volleyball, pickleball and table tennis, plus bocce ball and other yard games.
