'Serving Your Community'
The Government Issues Committee of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce developed the Springfield Leadership Workshop to identify and help prepare candidates for positions of community leadership in Springfield. The workshop has five objectives:
1. To motivate future leaders through development of a deep appreciation for good community leadership
2. To inform future leaders about options for civic and community service, and identify how their individual leadership style might best be used
3. To develop a network for future leaders through meeting current community leaders and keeping an active alumni program
4. To explore skills needed to be a successful community leader
5. To develop an individual plan for next steps toward community leadership
