SUMMARY:The Child Center's ABA Autism Program Open House
DESCRIPTION:The Child Center is proud to announce the opening of our new Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinic! We will hold an Open House on Saturday\, September 29\, 2018\, featuring clinic tours\, ABA Program information\, expansion plans\, and service and research provisions.\n\n\n\nAs part of The Child Center's circle of care for families and children\, our ABA program offers evidence-based treatment for families whose children (1-18 years) are impacted by autism. ABA services at The Child Center include one-on-one therapy delivered at the clinic Monday Friday from 9:00am 3:00pm .\n\n \n\nABA is the only evidence-based treatment endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General\, the Center for Disease Control\, and the Academy of Pediatrics as an effective treatment for autism. Using the science of learning and behavior\, ABA services are implemented to target areas such as communication\, social skills\, independent living skills\, and early learner skills by breaking each behavior into small\, manageable parts. Data collection and analysis are the foundation of our ABA services. Individualized treatment plans are developed to increase behaviors that will help the child maximize their independence and success. Behaviors that may be barriers to the child's ability to learn and engage are decreased or replaced with more effective and appropriate behaviors that the child can use to get their needs met. Parents are provided with hands-on training\, guidance\, and support throughout the treatment process. \n\n \n\nEligibility for services requires a current medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and a referral for ABA services from a doctor. For more information about The Child Center's ABA program\, please visit www.thechildcenter.org/ABA.html or call (541) 726-1465 and ask for the ABA Program.
