Tickets on sale now for annual Haunted Hayride at Dorris Ranch
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Reservations for Willamalane Park and Recreation District's annual Haunted Hayride at Dorris Ranch are now open.
The event – rain or dark – is scheduled Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 20-22; gates open at 5:45 p.m. with rides starting at 6:10 p.m. each night. The last rides depart at 8:40 p.m.
Participants board a hay wagon for a ghost host-narrated 20-minute ride as it creeps through the "haunted" trails of the ranch. The tour includes zombie dancers, ghosts of Oregon historical figures, and dancing hazelnuts. This year's featured performers are from Identity Dance Company in Springfield.

More than 400 lighted jack-o'-lanterns line the haunted paths and trails.
After the ride, families can enjoy cocoa, cider and cookies in the historic Tomseth House. Activities include games, craft projects and a tour through Dr. Frank's lab.
Costumes are encouraged at this not-too-scary, family friendly event. Glow sticks will be for sale for $1.
Admission is $6 for district residents and $7.50 for people living outside of Willamalane's boundaries. Reservations are required; the event sells out quickly. Reserve your time slot by calling 541-736-4544. Reservations may also be made in person at any Willamalane facility. Dorris Ranch is located at South Second and Dorris streets.
